Social constructivism is loosely the belief that true learning comes from interaction. In the classroom, this translates to changing the focus from the teacher to the students. It challenges the conventional mode of learning where the teacher pours their knowledge into the students who are passive learners in the setting, who wait like empty vessels to be filled.
